Compression Therapy uses sequential pulse technology or “Massage Compression” that improves blood flow in the legs. The “Recovery Boots” wrap around your legs and inflate with air, from the foot, all the way up to the top of your leg. While you are sitting in the boots, you experience a relaxing massage and rolling sensation that improves your recovery from training, competition or long hours of standing at work. Recovery boots are also a great method for preventing Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) and swelling from long haul flights as it improves the bodies lymphatic system to pump fluid away from the extremities and then pump blood back into them.
Who uses them? Professional and Semi professional athletes, weekend warriors, nurses, construction workers, flight attendants, mum, dad, grandma, grandpa; pretty well anyone who loves looking after themselves!
Contraindications: Pregnancy and a history or diagnosed heart conditions.
How long do I use them? We recommend 1 to 2 times per week for up to 60 minutes. At the RecoveryBar, we offer 20 minute, 40 minute and 60 minute sessions. Longer sessions are available by prior arrangement. You must wear boots long pants / tights / compression tights in the boots.
